Firm Overview
The original firm of Coggins and Harman was founded in 1972 by Bill Coggins and John Harman, former classmates at American University's Washington College of Law. Starting with a local general practice, the firm now serves clients in State and Federal Courts in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, as well as specially before courts around the country. In 1993, Bill Hewitt, a seasoned litigator, became a principal in the firm and has expanded its practice in personal injury insurance litigation as well as overseeing the firm's Alternative Dispute Resolution business.
